Bealls has consistently prioritized families, placing children, education, and local community engagement at the core of its philanthropic efforts. Some of Bealls community partners are based in the Bradenton, Florida, region, and others have a national footprint.
Community partners
Bealls supports the community in several ways from volunteer hours by associates to donations and sponsorships to unique workforce programming. Its work in the community has been a mainstay, fostering a sense of belonging and camaraderie and leading to stronger, more resilient collaborations.
Over the decades, Bealls has expanded its reach to serve communities in which it has stores. Today, each of the 650+ Bealls locations in 23 states supports local causes that benefit families.
RM Beall Sr. Charitable Foundation
R.M. Beall Sr.'s belief in building a community by investing in people goes back decades. In 1987, he established a scholarship program because he wanted to help the children of Bealls’ associates further their education. Since then, the foundation has granted scholarships of more than $5 million to dependents of Bealls team members. The foundation also aids associates who have suffered losses due to natural disasters such as tornados and hurricanes.
